The total site area for the four sites is c. 0.14 hectares (c. 0.345 acres).
Planning for the sites was granted under PL04714 and has expired. It is likely that if similar house types were submitted for a fresh planning permission that these would be granted.
Newtownforbes is located in the west of county Longford, 8 Km North West of Longford Town. It is a rapidly expanding town, partly due to its strategic location, being in close proximity to Longford Town, as well as on the main N4 Dublin – Sligo route, along with it’s picturesque surroundings and traditional layout.
Newtownforbes has grown dramatically in recent years per head of population, compared with the county as a whole. The current population of Newtownforbes is c. 759 (CSO 2011) up from 668 in 2006. The village is a popular residential location for many people working in Longford Town.
